B&B Castiglione della Pescaia - Bed & Breakfast Acquacotta
In the heart of Maremman Tuscany, just 4km from the Castiglione della Pescaia sea, and 7km from Roselle Archeological Park and Vetulonia Museum, in front of the Diaccia Botrona faunal oasis and old Prile Port, is B&B l’Acquacotta, the ideal place for peace and relaxation… Just a few minutes by car is the medieval village of Massa Marittima, Ucellina Natural Park, as well as Punta Ala and Pelagone golf courses. About a half hour away, you’ll find the splendid city of Pitigliano carved into volcanic ash, Sovana Cathedral, and the Saturnia hot springs. Your holidays in Maremma will be pleasant all year long, thanks to our climate and large fireplace to warm up your winter nights.
Rooms are decorated with care in typical Maremman style, with private bathrooms, air conditioning, TV and WI-FI connection. I’ve paid close attention to detail, using fabrics of former times, like linen, fresh and pleasant for relaxing. The colors are typical of our countryside: yellow like the sunflowers, green like the hills, and red like the sunsets.
Superb stay, rooms were clean and spacious, garden was wonderful, breakfast buffet served outside with freshly made pastries from Edoardo the very kind young owner and manager of the BnB. We spent most days being lazy by the pool, and Edoardo would consistently offer us drinks, fresh fruit etc... we were looked after exceptionally well and would recommend this place to anyone.
My husband and I stayed here for a night recently and had a wonderful experience. Edoardo and his mother make you feel welcome from the moment you step on the property. They even sent us off to the beach with cold waters and a bag of fresh peaches. The room was large with free Wifi. Breakfast was excellent as well. Much more like staying with family vs a B&B.
5 minutes from the sea, very well kept house and a wonderful gardens with an external kitchens to enjoy breakfast under the sun and by the pool (early april this was!!!) a wonderul alternatives to nearby hotels and very highly recomeded. Thanks to the very charming and extremely helpful
Janetta and Edo
Positioned in a rural setting with easy access by car to neighbouring towns. Parking available. This is a family owned and operated establishment. Rooms were very comfortable, clean and with good storage. A delicious breakfast was provided in the garden terrace and always included home baked cakes and sometimes savouries. Eduardo our host granted our every wish. There is a well maintained and sizeable swimming pool on site. A most restful and homely stay.
My husband and I have just finished our stay at this wonderful B&B and we were very sad to leave! Eduardo and his family made us feel so welcome - from the great breakfast on the terrace in the morning; to suggestions of things to do during the day (a trip to Le Mortelle vineyard is a must); and rustic homemade dinner under the olive trees in the evening. The rooms are clean and spacious and the pool area is lovely and well maintained. We also used the bikes that are free to take most days to cycle through stunning farmland and fields of sunflowers around Castiglione della Pescaia We left with local wine and homemade jam - two very happy people!
